Programmer Job Description
Responsibilities and duties:
- Development of Picture Archiving Communication System based on standard protocol such as DICOM, HL7 and general IT standard
- Creation of new product that provides interface between third party software to build tele-radiology system
- Development of diagnostic image display workstation for radiologist and referring doctors
- Creation of new product that follows company business plan and customer needs
- Development, unit testing and technical documentation of software components
- Ability to work with a team of business experts on functional requirements and specifications, including:
- Translation of business logic from business specifications to the programming language
- Participation in design and development of software products
- Provide assistance and consultations to QA specialists on system integration and testing
- Provide assistance with software installation
- Troubleshoot production issues.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Developing skills:
- Visual C++, MFC and windows platform SDK
- Bitmap image manipulation
- Basic knowledge of windows socket programming and windows API
- Experience with partner-supplied software development kits
Database skills:
- MS SQL and Oracle RDBMS programming, tuning and maintenance
- Communicate technical specifications, system documentation and on-going client support
- Object oriented development skills and experience in the full cycle of software development methodology
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferable)
- Must be reliable and devoted to completing assigned projects on schedule, with supervision.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's with 5 yrs experience or a Master's with at least 1 year experience.
